We hope you enjoyed your Labor Day holiday. Please remember there was no meeting this past Wednesday, September 6th. Our next meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, September 13th.
On next Wednesday, September 20th, the chapter will celebrate the last program year with an Award Ceremony and then do goal-setting activities. Please invite your parents/guardians, siblings, and friends to recognize your hard work and celebrate with you.Congratulations to our newly elected E-board members and thanks to all who participated in the process!

If any members are still interested in being on the board, we still need a member to fill the Treasurer position that is now vacant. We are currently taking nominations for this position. Please note that in order to run for office you must complete all registration forms and pay the chapter dues. The officer interest form link is on the membership page. Election for Treasurer will be held at our next meeting, Wednesday, September 13th.
Competition Season
Last meeting members were introduced to the First Lego League theme Masterpiece for the 2023 – 2024 season https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QArg43rCMBA and the VEX Robotics Competition Over Under https://youtu.be/dvDqEI7qO34. Our first Saturday meeting to begin preparing for competitions will be this Saturday, September 16th from 9am – 1pm.
Parent Meeting Summary
For any parents that were unable to attend the Parent Meeting two weeks ago please note the following:
Fundraising: We expect all parents to participate in fundraising

National Convention: $175 non-refundable deposit per attendee due November 8th
Parent Meeting: Our next Parent Meeting is scheduled for October 19, 2023 at 6:30pm on Zoom. We will send a Zoom link in October.

Membership
If you have not already completed your 2023-24 membership registration and the 2023-24 GA NSBE Jr. Leaps and Bounds Tutoring Program registration, please complete both registrations prior to our next meeting on September 13th.
We would like to encourage all members to take advantage of our free tutoring. It is required for all members with a GPA less than 3.9.
